Room Tour Take 2

I have such a busy day today, I'm having lunch out with my dad and then I'm meeting the girls for dinner tonight, I'm going to be so full by by bedtime! I just can't put down The Hunger Games - it really is as good as all the hype (in my opinion) :)

I thought I'd show you my room that's at my parents home today, I absolutely adore it <3

I thought I'd throw this one in at the end as it shows my makeup quite well. I have winged eyeliner by Illamasqua and a lip crayon in red by Eyeko. I have my usual Chanel Blush in Fantasia on my cheeks.

Everyday natural with a twist

I cannot believe how difficult it is to take a photo of makeup on my own in my parents house, it's impossible! There's no light anywhere apart from right in the window and then I can't see what I'm doing. I'm going to have to ask Alex to teach me how to use her professional camera for taking pictures of makeup I think, this just won't do!

After my post on Frida Gustavsson I decided to use the second picture of her as inspiration for my makeup today, I kept my eyeshadow simple and really blended to get a seamless look, bronzed and contoured my cheeks and applied layers of red lipstick blotting inbetween to get a laid-back matte red lip.

On my eyes I have MAC Wedge on my lid, with a darker brown colour from the Sleek Natural pallet in my crease. All that glitters on my inner corners and Mylar as a highlight. I then smudged some Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in black along my lashline for definition.

On my lips is Exotic Orchid Pure Colour Lipstick by Estee Lauder.

A Makeup Inspiration

I logged into Blogger this morning and read a post by this lovely lady, which prompted me to Google the model Frida Gustavsson and these were two of the images that popped up.

I absolutely adore this makeup, the glossy eye and orange lip with statement lashes is so chic, yet has an edge to it which makes it really modern. I also love how in the second picture the red lip looks so perfectly work in with the rest of her, it's such a startling contrast but yet after you adjust to the photo is almost seems to disappear.

I can't wait to do my makeup using these images as inspiration, do any of you girls have any new beauty inspirations?
