Sailboat

I just noticed that Jennie from Sailboat has tweeted about my blog, and I have to say that I'm blown away and so excited about it. She has always been one of my absolute favourite bloggers, and I couldn't be happier!

So thankyou Jennie! <3

Luxury in the little things

Sometimes it's the little things that can make the everyday mundane that little bit more exciting, maybe a nice lip balm or brightly coloured nails. I thought I'd show you a few little luxuries I picked up today that smelled just too good to pass up! I also finally have a shot of my new nail varnishes that I promised!

I love how fun and summery these shades are!

Sweetie Pie - £2.95. Happy Hippy - £5.95. Honey Trap - £5.25.

I had such a lovely trip home to see my family. It was great to spend some quality time with my mum on Mother's Day and spoil her with some well deserved presents. While my mum was cooking in the afternoon, I took a long soak in the bath with a Lush Dragons Egg bath bomb - they are definitely my favourite (I love how they split into 2 so you can use it twice, and they smell amazing). Took my dog out on a walk to the local pub and sat by the canal with an Amaretto and Coke, and then later on that evening, had a family gathering for dinner where we had Ham in Coke, Lemon Chicken and great seasonal veg. Now I'm back in Leeds with Alex and looking forward to a nice night in. Alex is cooking pork chops with home made mash and a side serving of cabbage with bacon. I know that sounds interesting but you have to try it, it's delicious!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend too and got to spend some time with your mum or other loved ones <3

A baby pink bow and soft waves

I got a little preoccupied spending time with my family and my dog tonight, so my post on my nail varnish delivery and a little NOTD will be a day late, but it's on it's way all the same!

I just thought I'd share this hairstyle with you that I found on weheartit.com.

I love the soft pink bow, the waves and the plait detail. It's so soft and feminine, I can't wait to try it! I'd pair it with doll like mascara and a hint of pink on my lips and cheeks.

What do you think? How would you style it?

Pretty girls, sunshine in their hair, the perfume that they wear..

(Image from weheartit)

Tonight my dad is driving up from where my parents live to pick me up and take me home as a surprise for my mum. The one downside of me not having my car with me at the moment is that I can't just hop in and drive down to see them on a whim. The train is just too expensive to do it regularly so I don't get to see them as often as I'd like.

This means that I have around 6 hours as of now to kill, and what does that mean? Girly time of course!

I'm going to put Sex and the City on in the background and make a nice lunch of an avocado salad wrap, then I'm off to indulge in a hair and face mask, before applying a set of nails and painting them a fun girly colour (I got a sneaky delivery of some nail varnish in the mail today that I'll probably share with you later!).
Once that's done I'm planning on spending some time putting my makeup on, and curling my hair. I love spending time on my hair and makeup, I find it so fun and therapeutic!
I might just give you a sneaky look later, have a lovely Saturday everyone!
