Would it be naughty...?

I don't feel like I can justify this.... but I'm definitely going to try :D

Topshop 'Magical Lip Tint'

I'm not usually a girl who is suckered into things purely on how they look but once I had seen this there was no going back. It reminds me of the pink Jelly Shoes that I had when I was a little girl, and nothing bad can come from being reminded of the time when it was appropriate to wear bright pink sparkly shoes on an (almost) everyday basis, right?

The Magical Lip Tint is part of the Sisters of the New Moon collection by Topshop and is aptly named Crystal. The packaging claims that it will, 'react to your skin to create a unique shade', which isn't exactly an original concept (take for example Bourjois's Rose Exclusif lipgloss) but I am a huge fan of that product so it was certainly something that I was already on the bandwagon with.

The packaging is beautiful, I love the soft watercolour effect on the box, and the lipstick itself is also beautifully packaged. It's not heavy like an expensive lipstick would be, but then at £9 I wasn't expecting it to be.

Just how amazing is that in the bullet?! So pretty and girly!
Don't panic though if you're colour shy, it translates onto the lips to a soft pink and the glitter really is minimal. The colour payoff was decent on me, I haven't inserted a photo because it's subject to change on each person and I didn't want to give an untrue representation of the colour/payoff. I wouldn't say it's one for you if you're after a bright pop of colour though.
The finish is similar to a lip-balm, although possibly not quite as nourishing. I certainly don't find it drying in any way on me. I just popped a little bit of my Lush Lip Scrub on beforehand and I was good to go. It lasted a good couple of hours on me which I would expect from a product like this.

I think this would be amazing to throw in a bright summer clutch as a pick me up during a fun sunny day. Since it's not strongly pigmented I think it would be great for a subtle swipe of colour when you don't have a mirror handy. Overall I think it's a great little product that has arrived just in time for spring!

What do you think?

An eventful end to a lovely long weekend...

I was planning on doing a review of the Magical Lip Tint from Topshop today, but that all went out of the window since I've only just got home and it's now dark. Since I can't really see even in good light, taking pictures in the dark just doesn't go well!

The reason why I've only just ended up walking through the door is that Alex's ever faithful car finally gave up the ghost, so we've been faffing around with the RAC for the last 3 hours. We are now car-less (my car is at my parents house because I don't trust people where I live to not run into it !!again!!) and practically penniless for the next week!

But hey-ho! I'll be back soon with my actual scheduled post as planned.

The end of winter and the start of new things?

Today Alex and I went to check out the new bunny that we are thinking of adopting, but it's not concrete yet so more of that when our new addition comes to live with us! Alex wants to call him Monty which I do really like, but the bunny we like has one ear up and one ear down, like he's a little boy playing at being an aeroplane... so my logical answer to what he should be called is Aero, and he's the colour of an Aero too! So excited to bring him home!

The weather in Leeds has been lovely for the past few days, sunny one minute and showers the next, it's a sign that it's finally spring, and what better way to celebrate than with a little bit of shopping?

I picked up the scarf and the top from Primark for £4 each, the necklace and the earrings were £2 each.
The nails and the MUA Heaven and Earth Pallet were standard purchases from Superdrug, I think they were £6 and £3 (on offer).
Then my most exciting purchases were from Topshop and were the feathered cuff earring, and the Lipstick in Crystal from the Sisters of The New Moon collection!

Now I'm off to order takeaway and have a movie night on the sofa with Alex, I hope you've had a lovely day!

(I'm sorry about the bad picture quality but I have a problem with my eye that distorts things, so I can't see when I take the picture whether it's okay or not. Ill get the feel of it soon though I hope so the photos will get better!)
